Lower The Speed
Many confidence problems are speed problems in disguise. Slow the feet, reduce the distance and let the child feel the ball again.
Make Errors Safe
Use a reset that is easy to understand: freeze, breathe, and start the next repetition. The child should not feel that one mistake has ended the practice.
Keep A Reason To Return
End with a drill the child recognises and can do with some success. A repeatable routine is more valuable than a spectacular challenge that never gets used again.
