Garden Dribble Gates

A small-space dribbling game where kids guide the ball through gates without needing much room.

How to set it up
SMALL TOUCHESTHREE GATES

Use three wide gates and guide the ball through them slowly before asking for a quicker change of direction.

Setup

One ball and household-safe markers. Use small garden and keep the area safe before starting.

Steps

  1. Place three small gates around the garden.
  2. Dribble through each gate slowly.
  3. Turn after the final gate and come back.
  4. Repeat with the weaker foot touching the ball more often.

Coaching points

  • Small touches.
  • Head up between gates.
  • Control before speed.

Common mistakes

  • Making the gates too narrow.
  • Asking for speed before control.

Next practice
