Start With Position And Handling
Young goalkeepers need a balanced ready position and clean handling before they need spectacular saves. Start close, keep services controlled, and build confidence through repeatable catches.
Add Movement Before Pressure
Once the set position is familiar, add short footwork and simple target choices. Diving and high-intensity service should come later, on an appropriate surface and with qualified supervision.
Use The Ball After The Save
A goalkeeper's next action matters. Distribution gates help the player secure the ball, scan the pitch, and start the next phase with an accurate roll, throw, or pass.
